Delete your Redy account

You can delete your Redy account, and everything in it, at any time. There are two ways to do it — pick whichever suits you.

Option 1: Delete in the app

Fastest

If you still have Redy installed, you can start the deletion yourself in under a minute.

  1. Open the Redy app and sign in.
  2. Tap the settings icon (the gear, top right).
  3. Open Privacy & Data and scroll to Delete Account.
  4. Tap Delete Account, optionally tell us why, and confirm.

You can also reach this under Privacy & Data on the same screen.

Option 2: Request by email

No app needed

If you have uninstalled the app, lost access to your device, or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete your account for you.

Email privacy@redy.co

Send your request from the email address you registered with, so we can confirm the account is yours. If you no longer have access to that address, tell us and we will find another way to verify you.

We action every request within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We will email you to confirm once it is done.

What happens when you delete

Requesting deletion starts a 30-day grace period. Nothing is erased during that window, so a request made by mistake — or by someone else with access to your device — can still be undone.

The 30-day grace period

During the 30 days your account is scheduled for deletion but your data is still intact. Sign in and cancel the request to stop it. After 30 days the deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed.

DataWhat happens
Your claimed product passports (My Products)Permanently deleted after the 30-day grace period
Your passport shares and consent choicesPermanently deleted after the 30-day grace period
Your account and personal information (name, email, profile)Permanently deleted after the 30-day grace period
Security audit logsRetained up to 1 year, then deleted automatically

Why security audit logs are kept for up to a year

Security audit logs record security-relevant events — a sign-in, a permission change, your deletion request itself — so we can investigate abuse and meet our security obligations. When you delete your account we strip your user ID from these records where we can, but some still identify the account — including the record of the deletion itself, which we keep so we can prove your request was carried out — and some keep technical detail such as an IP address or device information. All of them are automatically deleted within a year. Separately, our general activity records naming you as the actor or the subject of an action are deleted outright.

Want to keep your account?

Once the grace period ends, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you only want some of your data gone, you have other options:

  • Remove individual product passports from My Products in the app — your account stays.
  • Export a copy of your data first, under Settings → Privacy & Data.

Redy is free, so there is no subscription to cancel before deleting.
